We know that football is the most popular sport in the world. But some countries have their national sports.
Archery is the national sport in the Himalayas. It’s a team sport and the art. A sportsman is called a bowman.
Table tennis is the national sport in China. There are two or four players in this sport. You need a table and rackets to play it. It is also called ping-pong.
Ice hockey is a team sport played on ice. There are six players in each team. It’s the national sport in Canada. Canadians like playing and watching this game on TV.
Handball is a team sport. The players play the ball with their hands. It is the national sport in Iceland.
Rugby is a contact team sport with a ball. It’s the national sport of Great Britain and Ireland. And it is also the national sport of New Zealand, Madagascar and Georgia.

Serena Williams is an American professional tennis player. She is 37 and she is from Saginaw, Michigan, U.S.. Serena won four gold medals at the Olympic Games.

2.1 Read the rule.

Word order in questions in Present Simple.

1. Questions with be.
We form the questions with be:
to be + Subject (noun or subject pronoun).

Example:
Is he Mark?
Are you a student?

2. Questions with be and wh- word.
We form the questions with be and wh- word:
Wh-word (what, where, why, how old, etc.) + to be + Subject (noun or subject pronoun).

Example:
Where are you from?
How old are you?

3. Questions with other verbs.
We form the questions with other verbs with the auxiliary verb (do/does):
We use does for he, she, it.
We use do for I, we, you, they.
Do/ does + Subject (noun or subject pronoun) + Infinitive (= verb).

Example:
Do you live in a town?
Does he work in an office?

Wh-word (what, where, why, how old, etc.) + do/ does + Subject + Infinitive (= verb).

Example:
Where do you live?
What time do you get up?


2.2 Make the questions.

Example: you/ live/ do/ in the country? – Do you live in the country?


2.3 Use is, are, do, does to complete the questions.

Example: Where … your brother live? — Where does your brother live?


2.4 Open the brackets in present simple. Pay attention to the word order.

Example: you usually get up? (What time) — What time do you usually get up?
