The Teen Spirit talks to young people around the world about what’s missing in their cities.

Jane

A library! Right now I bike a long way to a different city to study every day. I want parks for kids too, so they don’t play on the street. And I want places to have fun, like shopping malls with a lot of lights.

Aida

Places like career centres where young people can learn how to use their money. I also want more places to hang out. My area hasn’t really got cafes or bakeries, so the kids just hang out in the park.

Michel

I want a sports complex and a swimming pool. I do a lot of sports so it’s important to me. And I want a space with art activities, such as an arts centre.

Andy

I want a place to hang out in. Right now, we have only one park. But nothing happens there as it is a dog park. I want a youth club for different ages, with different floors and activities.

Hi, The Teen Spirit!

My name’s Dylan. I’m seventeen years old. I live in Manchester, but I come from Edinburgh. I’m a student. I go to the University of Manchester every day. I study there with my friends. I like Manchester, but it’s a little boring. I want to have more entertainment here, more places to have fun with my friends. Well, at least, I have football. I love football! I play every weekend.
