Adult: Open them up. You don’t want that for Christmas?
Boy: You’re stinking parents! Take this back!
Adult: Take it back where? This is yours!
Boy: I want a refund!

So, the first thing I have that I think any teen girl would want it’s definitely on one of the top things on my list this year are PJs from Pink they’re really cute, soft and really comfy.

First of all, I would very much like this camera bag. It looks flipping insane! Now, I’ve been looking at for a new camera bag for a while, I would absolutely love this camera bag. Black and purple, it always looks banging, don’t it? So, that would be very very nice. It’s only £24 with Amazon Prime as well, which, I think, is really really good.

A charging stand. It helps keep it super-duper organized. It charges Apple Watches, headphones and iPhones all at the same time and on the same little stand!

It’s right over there, and it’s just so much fun! There’s so many cool stretches you can do on it. You can make up your own, like little routine and do your own stretches on it.

The next thing on my list is actually a Netflix gift card because no one else in my family really watches Netflix than me, so I actually pay for it myself. I just get the standard one, which is like £6 a month. I just thought for Christmas I could ask for, like, a gift card, then I could get a month or two. I really like Netflix. My favourite series is Riverdale, definitely. If you haven’t already watched it, definitely check it out!

Christmas advert

Watch the first part of an advert and make your guesses

Narrator: It was Christmas Eve, and everyone in the Thomas’ family was dreaming sweet dreams. Nicky and Debbie were dreaming about what Santa would bring them. Mr Thomas was dreaming of a new bat. Mrs Thomas was dreaming of …
Mrs Thomas: Oh, Captain Thomas …
Narrator: Something else. Finally, of course, we have Mog. Mog was not dreaming sweet dreams. Mog was having a nightmare.

  • What is going to happen next?

Watch the second part of the advert and answer the questions

Operator: Hello, fire service! Hello? Hello?
Fire chief: Follow that cat!
Fireman: That’s what it was!
Narrator: As the neighbours gathered, the fire chief told everyone how Mog had saved the day.
Old lady: She deserves a medal!
Debbie: I think she’d rather have an egg …
Narrator: But there was no egg for Mog. There was no Christmas at all … At least, that’s what they thought. But everyone else thought that if the Thomas’ and Mog can’t have a Christmas, they can share ours. So that’s exactly what they all did.

1. How Mog saved Christmas?

2. Did the family celebrate the holiday after the accident?

3. Who shared Christmas with the family?

4. Do you agree with the statement: «Christmas is for sharing»? How do you understand it?

Santa Claus, also known as Saint Nicholas, Father Christmas, Kris Kringle, or simply «Santa», is a figure which was derived from the Dutch figure of Sinterklaas, a historical, legendary and mythological figure who in many Western cultures, is said to bring gifts to the homes of the good children during the late evening and overnight hours of Christmas Eve, December 24 or on his Feast Day, December 6 (Saint Nicholas Day). The legend is based on the tales concerning the historical figure of gift giver Saint Nicholas.

While Saint Nicholas was originally portrayed wearing bishop’s robes, today Santa Claus is generally depicted as a plump, jolly, white-bearded man wearing a red coat with a white collar and cuffs, white-cuffed red trousers, and a black leather belt and boots. This image became popular in the United States and Canada in the 19th century due to the significant influence of caricaturist and political cartoonist Thomas Nast. This image has been maintained and reinforced through songs, radio, television, and films. In the United Kingdom and Europe, he is often depicted in a manner identical to the American Santa Claus, but he is commonly called Father Christmas.
