Organizations, governments, committees, parties, associations, foundations, clubs.

Museums, galleries, monuments, memorials, cathedrals, palaces, halls, centers, buildings, houses, towers, theaters, libraries, places of interest.

But: if a public building consists of a two-word name whose first word is the name of a person or place and the second is a common word, zero article is used, e.g. Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle.

But: if they have the name of their founder in the possessive form (ending in -s or ‘s), zero article is used, e.g. Harrods, Macdonald’s.

NB: use zero article with the names of foreign newspapers, e.g. Izvestia, Le Monde, Der Spiegel.

But: If a language is used with the word «language» article «the» is used, e.g. the English language.
