LYDIA JORDAN SIMONE

LYDIA: Here she goes! Do you see her?
JORDAN: Who? The spectacular blonde beside the table?
LYDIA: Yes, her name is Simone Gelso. She is the brilliant new business manager I told you about. I think you could tell her more about the position.
JORDAN: Yeah, I do remember. Can you introduce her to me?
LYDIA: Emmm, sure. Errr, Simone?
SIMONE: Hello?
LYDIA: Remember me? We met at the Green Pineapple Digital Conference. I heard that you are looking for a job. May I introduce you to Jordan? He is an operations director in our agency.
JORDAN: I heard that you are the best new business manager in the city.
SIMONE: You heard right but I am not interested in working in XYZ.
JORDAN: But why?
SIMONE: Because many years ago I applied to your company for an internship as an account manager. And your new business manager, Grigory Petrov, treated me like garbage. So I promised myself I’d never work in your agency.
LYDIA: Well, then you’ll be happy to know that both you and Jordan hate Grigory.
JORDAN: Because he left our company and took all the key clients with him. And by taking the position of a new business manager you will be able to compete with him on the same level.

LYDIA JORDAN

LYDIA: Do you remember that I saved your face at the conference?
JORDAN: What? When?
LYDIA: When you drank too much champagne and started telling about our real situation to a potential client.
JORDAN: Oh did I? And how exactly did you save me?
LYDIA: First, I used flattery and said to the client something like: «That’s very interesting, I think it is a very good idea…» and started talking about something else.
JORDAN: Ahhh, I see why you started suddenly talking about tables. That seemed strange back at the time.
LYDIA: Aaand, I invited somebody else to the conversation.
JORDAN: Yes! I remember that confused old guy. You took his hand and started saying «Oh, that reminds me of something that happened with Stepan.»
LYDIA: But you still didn’t get me and wanted to continue discussing our situation in XYZ. That’s why I had to use: «Let’s not talk about that.»
JORDAN: Yeah, I remember a little that it sounded kinda rude. Did I say anything else? Anything awkward?
LYDIA: Well, you promised you’d raise my salary…
JORDAN: Nice try!
